Take a Smartphone Photography Tour

The Old Mill in Dundee, taken and processed on an iPhone 7+

With smartphone photography, photography is in the hands of the people like never before. It's never been cheaper or easier to make photos, and to share those photos with family, friends, and strangers.

Smartphone cameras are pretty high quality as well. Gone are the days of a pixelated image taken on your camera phone. While the image quality cannot quite compete with the market of interchangeable lens cameras, the image quality from a smartphone is often good enough.

This situation that we find ourselves in presents an opportunity. With a little bit of training and a little bit of practice, you can absolutely take your photo game to the next level. Whether you are an aspiring photographer or you just want to take good pictures, you make make high quality images with the camera you already own.

This is why we're doing the Better Smartphone Photography with Howell Photowalk this fall. We at Guided Photography Tours do own several interchangeable lens cameras and we don't advocate that everyone should abandon those for smartphones; that said, we know that many of you have your smartphone as your primary camera, and we use ours often as well.

The photo attached to this post is one of the Old Mill in Dundee, MI. Chris took this with his iPhone 7+ and edited it in Lightroom mobile, right on the phone. The total time to shoot and process the photo was less than 5 minutes. You can do this! We can help.
